George E. Dean established the farm in 1925 on the old William Hartung farmland, expanding to 450 acres. Located across from Victory Park, Haven Hills Dairy was renowned for its Guernsey cows and unpasteurized milk. The dairy won numerous awards, with one champion cow named Garcia gaining fame at the 1939 New York World’s Fair for her exceptional milk production.
After George Dean’s passing in 1932, his wife Belle continued the dairy operations, maintaining the farm’s high standards and local reputation. The dairy produced bottle milk, butter, cream, and specialty milk, serving around 400 local customers. The farm hosted significant social events, such as the 1935 “barn warming,” attended by 450 guests.

Haven Hills Dairy ceased operations in 1961 following Belle Dean’s death, marking the end of an era. However, the farm’s legacy lives on in the memories of Albion residents and in historical records, highlighting its contribution to the local community and dairy industry.
