The Kappa Delta Lodge, built in 1926, serves as the cherished home of the Sigma Pi Chapter at Albion College. This historic lodge has been central to enriching the college experiences of over 1,000 alumnae members.

The Kappa Delta Sorority is renowned for providing experiences that build confidence in women and inspire them to take action through the power of lifelong friendship.  Kappa Delta’s partnership with Girl Scouts of the USA exemplifies their commitment to community service. Through fun events, members help build confidence in young girls, making a tangible impact on their lives. Each year, Kappa Delta chapters nationwide host Shamrock events, raising funds and awareness for child abuse prevention. These events, ranging from pancake breakfasts to 5K runs, contribute significantly to this important cause.

The Kappa Delta Foundation has also made notable contributions to orthopedic research, presenting annual awards for outstanding research efforts. The strong values of courage, confidence, and character are shared with Girl Scouts, forming a deep bond between the two organizations.

The Kappa Delta Lodge features vernacular architecture, described as a post-war bungalow reminiscent of English cottages. It includes charming elements such as eyebrow windows, an arch over the front door, and a barrel roof. Structurally appearing as a cape with 1.5 floors, its style may be characterized differently across regions. The artwork titled “Kappa Delta Lodge” captures the essence of this historic building in intricate detail. The pen & ink drawing, hand-drawn with India ink, showcases the timeless charm of the lodge.
